On October 1, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of a National Turmeric Board in Telangana, as well as the establishment of a 900-crore Sammakka-Sarakka Central Tribal University in Mulug, at an official function where he commissioned and laid the foundation stone to projects worth more than 13,500 crore in Mahabubnagar.
