In an interview with NBC’s Meet the Press, President-elect Donald Trump made two important promises as he prepares to into office once more.

On his first day in office, he promised to release anyone responsible for the January 6, 2021, riot in the US Capitol, saying that those involved are “living in hell.” His position reflects his continued sympathy for many of the rioters, whom he has called champions in the past.

Trump also declared his plan to remove birthright citizenship, which grants US citizenship to anybody born in the nation. The goal of this plan is to implement the 14th modification, which has been the foundation of immigration policy since it was approved in 1868.

Donald Trump, the president-elect

Recently discussed his goals for his next term in office. Immediately before his inauguration on January 20, he promised to release numerous laws on important topics such as immigration, energy, and the economy.

Trump stressed that he is willing to collaborate with Democrats to handle the issue of undocumented immigrants brought to the United States as children, known as Dreamers, despite his hardline stance on immigration, which includes terminating birthright citizenship.

Additionally, he declared that he would not advocate for a Justice Department probe of Joe Biden. Trump did, however, demand jail time for several of his political rivals, including the investigators of the Capitol disturbance.

This demonstrates his intention to take measures that support his political goals while also allowing for some compromise on other matters.

When his supporters stormed Congress following his defeat in the 2020 election, President-elect Donald Trump was asked in a recent interview if he would pardon anyone convicted for their involvement in the Capitol riot on January 6. In response, he stated that even on his first day back in office, he would look into each issue separately and take action quickly.

Trump also called the detention facilities where many of the rioters are being held “filthy” and said they shouldn’t even be open, criticizing the conditions there.

Trump also made other noteworthy statements in the same interview, which were broadcast on NBC on Sunday.

President-elect Donald Trump covered a number of important topics in his interview. As long as the members of NATO are treating the United States honestly and paying their due amount, he stated that he would remain a member.

Trump stated that he would not impose limitations on abortion drugs, but he did note that this may change in the future. On Ukraine, he hinted that when he returns to the White House, the nation may get less funding.

Trump added that although though studies have found no relationship between childhood immunizations and autism, someone should look into the possibility. He suggested that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., his prospective health secretary and a vaccination doubtful, would investigate this.

Although he did not provide specifics,

Trump stated that he would try to improve the efficiency of Social Security while restating his promise not to reduce the program or raise the qualifying age. He claimed he couldn’t promise that import duties wouldn’t result in higher pricing for consumers.

Regarding immigration, Trump stated that he would use executive action to terminate birthright citizenship, which would prevent children of non-American parents born in the country from automatically obtaining U.S. citizenship.

President-elect Donald Trump covered a number of important immigration and political topics in his interview. According to him, the 14th Amendment’s guarantee of birthright citizenship needs to be modified. He emphasized that this must end, but he acknowledged that it might need to be approved by the public.

Additionally, Trump repeated his intention to deport unauthorized immigrants, especially those who have family members who are citizens of the United States. Sending everyone back together is the only way to prevent families from being split up, he said.

He did, however, say he would be open to working with Democrats to support

“Dreamers”—undocumented immigrants who were brought to the country as minors and were protected under the DACA program, which originated under Obama and that Trump had attempted to terminate. Trump admitted that some Dreamers had succeeded in the United States by developing successful enterprises or finding decent jobs.

Regarding whether he would seek revenge against his political rivals, Trump was unsure. He requested that members of the committee who looked into him be put in jail, despite his claims that he wasn’t interested in the past and that his programs would be successful. Liz Cheney, a former Republican valid, attacked his remarks as an attack on the rule of law.

Trump said that if his opponents broke the law, they should be held responsible, but he would not order the FBI to look into them. He stressed that during the inquiry, he did nothing wrong.
